The reason for CRM is to keep improving customer service relationships and assisting in customer retention and driving sales growth. In addition, there is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence (BI) systems, then the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).

A cloud application works by storing and sharing data. This means that sharing resources, software, and the information is done via a network, in this case, the Internet. The information is stored on physical servers maintained and controlled by a cloud computing provider, such as Apple in regards to iCloud. For an enterprise, there are cloud providers such as Microsoft office 365 and the Azure platform by Microsoft. There are many more, not limited to Microsoft products only.

These are applications are strictly cloud-based. Referring to applications, services or resources that are made available to users on demand via the Internet from a cloud computing provider’s server. Cloud services lie within the bracket of business technology. Meaning that it is made to create business solutions. This is where the enterprise applications fall. More to that, enterprise cloud computing and applications have seen a rise in demand. Among the reasons is cost saving.

It is a significant driver for businesses to opt for cloud services. Consumers today also do everything online. Their purchases, connections, and entertainment all reside on the internet. As a result, business and enterprise as a whole are changing the way they do business. This is evident by adopting the cloud computing technology and cloud services for their business operations.

Enterprise applications are also an attractive service because they are easy to procure, and if they do not suit your business model or working dynamics then one has to simply deactivate it.
What this means is that the entire enterprise applications process is much faster than it used to be. Vendors themselves are less involved in the buying process. There are no long processes attached to contract procedures. The simplicity of this model was formerly only available to consumer apps. However, the enterprise cloud applications have made it so much simpler.
